Lauren Graham, 42, has graced the cover of More magazine, a publication for women in their 40s and over.
The Parenthood star and former Gilmore Girl commented on the pressures of being a single woman: ‘What is so funny to me is I’m in a profession where two per cent of people are working, yet there’s still this implication that you’re not completely successful if you’re single and in your 40s. Well, why not? I wanted a horse when I was growing up too. Does that mean I’m not successful, because I don’t have a horse?’
Graham, who appears in the March issue to hit stands at the weekend, was not putting herself up to false expectations. ‘You learn to give yourself a break. I want to continue to celebrate where I am and not be apologetic. Whether I’m 43 or 60, I want to say, this is where I want to be in my life, because, hey, this is it. At this point I would probably meet someone who had kids or whatever, and that’s totally interesting to me.’
